Utilizing its expertise in the development of many office buildings and condominiums, Sumitomo Realty & Development is actively incorporating innovative designs and specifications that could only have come from the mind of a developer, such as the J-URBAN series of urban residences and the "Residential Style" features. J-URBAN features unique, modern exteriors with extensive use of glass. The "Residential Style" is an approach that incorporates residential facilities found in high-end condominiums for detached houses.
In addition, we have developed our own earthquake-proof technologies, such as the "Seismic Control System" and ”Power Panel" (patented). We are focused on product planning with the goal of further enhancing the safety and security of our homes.
To meet the diverse needs of our customers, we are working to strengthen the basic structure of our buildings by adding Wood Panel Construction Method to our product lineup, in addition to our existing wooden 2x4 and 2x6 construction methods.

Our original high-grade kitchen made of new ceramic materials uses UltraCeramic stone, which combines scratch resistance, stain resistance, heat resistance, and other functions ideal for kitchens, with a beautiful, expressive design.

Homes with energy efficiency by high heat insulation, reducing the balance of energy consumption to approximately zero by creating and storing energy using solar power generator and storage batteries. These features also support disaster resilience.

We reduce energy consumption by improving the thermal insulation of the house and using energy-efficient equipment and devices. In addition, through self-generation and storage of energy using solar power generation and other means, and efficient use of that energy, the energy balance is reduced to virtually zero. That's what Sumitomo Realty & Development is offering with its net zero energy house, ZEH.
We employ heat insulating and shielding materials throughout these homes to achieve excellent insulation performance. They also satisfy the requirements for thermal insulation performance grade 4—the highest grade—set by the Housing Performance Indication System.
Electricity is used efficiently by using solar power during the day, recharging the storage batteries at night when rates are relatively low, and using the electricity stored in the storage batteries in the morning and evening. Linking with the HEMS* allows electricity to be used wisely and without waste.
In addition, electricity is available even in the event of a power outage due to a disaster, providing peace of mind.

The seismic control system absorbs seismic energy to significantly reduce the shaking itself, preventing collapse and reducing deterioration and damage to the structural performance. It helps to maintain the safety and security of the home for many years.

＊The deformation control effect is based on the results of earthquake response analysis of our model plan. It varies depending on the building shape, specifications, layout, seismic waves, and other aspects.
Power Panel, a bearing wall with high magnification, is standard equipment in the Wood Panel Construction Method. By incorporating them into the first floor, Power Panels provide superior strength, withstanding deformation and distortion even when subjected to large external forces such as those caused by earthquakes.
This system stores potable water in the under-floor water supply route and allows easy access to water in the event of an outage. Since the system is installed in the piping space beneath the floor, there is no need to secure an installation location within the living space itself. It is also hygienic as it is constantly replaced with fresh tap water through daily water supply use.
*There are cases where installation is not possible depending on the building area.
Storing rainwater secures water for daily use, such as for laundry and toilets, when the water supply is cut off in earthquakes and other emergency circumstances. Its capacity is a reliable 100 liters. It can also be used in the initial extinguishing of fires, giving residents a great sense of security through the availability of water.
